We imported Perle as a precocious 15 month old in Oct. 2000. In the '07 June/July issue of Gun Dog, Chad Mason described her as a "ballerina...who has the cool disposition of of a reclusive artist." Perle is retired from breeding, but continues gainful employment as guide dog at our pheasant hunting operation in South Dakota.

Savanne Chassuer de Grand Ciel, Savvy, was whelped from Homere and Perle's first litter. Chad Mason, pictured here with Savvy, describes him as " a canine version of an NFL linebacker...55 lbs of hard muscle...Savvy has the soul of a clown who makes his living making children laugh, and loves the job." Savvy has a typical easy going fun loving temperament and actually makes his living hunting pheasants and making everyone laugh!

Polka Fleur de Bruyere, Polka, was imported in Dec. of 2000 at 15 mos. of age. Polka is 100% Braque without any English pointer blood, which has been back bred into most Bf-Pyrenees lines in Europe. Polka also has the typical calm temperament which makes Braques as equally well suited in the home as they are in the field.

Cleo was born May 14th, 2007 in France. We brought her back from France in July 2007. Cleo was used to guide during the '07 pheasant season when she was 6-7 mos. old. Provided she successfully passes her eye and orthopedic evaluations, she will be used for breeding as she unquestionably demonstrates the representative traits that make this breed special.

Custer is a full brother to Cleo. On our trip to France, we were looking to buy a new female for future breeding. However, when we saw Custer, we made an executive decision and brought him home as well. He also performed very well working as a guide dog during the '07 pheasant season. He is very calm in the home and loves to hunt and will also be used for breeding upon successful completion of eye and orthopedic evaluations.

Champaigne de Vin du Diable de Grand Ciel, call name Vin (pronounced Van), was whelped Nov. 3rd, 2007, and is the grand-daughter of Homere and Perle. She has all the characteristics of an alpha dog, and being an alpha, she has the potential to become a great dog. Not all alphas become great dogs, but all of the great dogs are alphas! We have high expectations for Vin as she was whelped from one of the best ever breedings. Provided she successfully comlpetes pre-breeding evaluations, Vin will continue the Diable legacy of her Grandfather.
